Welcome

Hello Hendersonville! My name is Shanice Thomas, and I am the Lightbridge Academy of Hendersonville Center Director. I am so excited to get to know you and your child during your time here at Lightbridge Academy! I enjoy spending time with my family, I love anything pink, singing loudly, and binge-watching tv shows. My passion for childcare began early in life as a routine babysitter and a dedicated Sunday School teacher. I have served as a Long-Term Substitute Teacher, Pre-K Teacher, Health & Wellness Coordinator, Assistant Director, and Director. Those experiences have contributed significantly to my overall success and love for children. My goal is to instill in all children a love of learning that will enable them to meet the challenges and demands that await them in their futures by fostering the well-being of the “whole child.” Respect, encouragement, and positive support are at the forefront of interacting with our children, families, and staff. I strive to serve as a bridge for families, aiding in the connection between school and home. I am here to support staff to enable them to succeed in the classroom and help guide your children to grow while partnering with our owner to ensure we are current and up to date on any policies and procedures as continued innovators in education. I am excited to connect with families and meet new families through future community events. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to foster a positive school family community through Lightbridge Academy.
