A message from us

Hello, My name is Christina Power, and I am the Director at Lightbridge Academy Cary! I have 15 years of experience in early childhood education, and I bring a passion for children, families, and quality early learning to my role as Center Director. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Education and began my career in the classroom as a two-year-old teacher before transitioning into early childhood administration.

Having experienced early education from the classroom perspective, I understand the importance of supporting teachers, building meaningful relationships with children, and creating an environment where families feel confident and connected. I believe that every child deserves to feel safe, loved, encouraged, and excited to come to school each day.

As Center Director, I am passionate about creating a strong school community where children can thrive, teachers are supported and valued, and families know they always have a partner in their child’s early learning journey.

Outside of the center, I am a proud mom of two. I love traveling and making memories with my family, cheering on my son at his baseball tournaments, and supporting my daughter at dance competitions. My family keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

My goal is simple: to create a place where every child feels known, every family feels welcomed, and every teacher feels supported.

 

Hello, My name is Monica, and I am the Assistant Director here at Lightbridge Academy Cary! I bring 15 years of experience in early childhood education and a decade of leadership experience to my role as Assistant Director. I hold an Associate’s degree in Early Education and have spent the past 10 years serving in early childhood administration.

Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of what it takes to create a high-quality early learning environment. I am passionate about supporting teachers, building strong relationships with families, and helping ensure that every child receives the care, guidance, and encouragement they need to grow and thrive.

As Assistant Director, I work alongside our leadership team and teachers to foster a positive, welcoming school community. I believe that strong relationships are at the heart of early childhood education and that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.

I am also a proud mom of three. When I’m not at the center, I enjoy reading and running, finding time to recharge while pursuing two of my favorite hobbies.

With my extensive classroom and leadership experience, warm personality, and commitment to children and families, I am proud to help make our center a place families can feel confident calling their child’s home away from home.
