A Message From Us

Having been around the family business my entire life, it was only natural that I found myself back to my roots after spending 3 years working private equity in NYC. It wasn’t the most ordinary path for a 24-year-old, but I knew I wanted to follow my father’s footsteps in being an entrepreneur and making an impact on the world. I didn’t know where to begin and I found myself in circles looking for the right idea to bring to the family business and then suddenly the idea struck at a family party while being surrounded by almost 10 nieces and nephews. It was then we realized that child care was the perfect complement to our father’s business, an adult day care center.

My name is Manan Shah and together with my brother, Neel Shah, we have been on 3-year journey to find the perfect location for our Lightbridge Academy. The time has finally come, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring Lightbridge Academy to the city of Bayonne and help build the foundation of the youth. This is an opportunity to provide an important service and do what we love, which is growing businesses and keeping that entrepreneurial aspect while making an impact on the world! I live by a motto of “shoot for the stars, and land on the moon” in following my dreams. Not only am I the youngest in my family, but I am the youngest franchisee in Lightbridge Franchising Company. I am taking a leap of faith in my first business, but I am confident and believe in following your dreams and teaching the next generation to do the same. We are thrilled to become members of the Bayonne, NJ community and look forward to meeting you and showing you around our brand new, state-of -the-art facility. We look forward to showing you what the Circle of Care is all about. Let us know what matters to you so we can help you, your children, and your family along life’s journey!

Can I enroll my child in Lightbridge Academy at any time?

Yes. Enrollment at all Lightbridge Academy locations is ongoing as long as space is available.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of days per week my child can attend Lightbridge Academy?

All Lightbridge Academy locations are open Monday through Friday. Most programs are available from 2 to 5 days per week. Back-up care is available on a daily and space available basis.

How will I be informed about my child's progress at Lightbridge Academy?
Effective communication happens on an ongoing and daily basis through our parent eCommunication app. You will receive ongoing and daily reports detailing important classroom announcements, reminders, photos, and videos so you won’t miss a thing! It is also a great tool for doctor visits helping to keep track of important information such as what your child ate, how they slept and even potty details. In addition, teachers will track your child’s development by taking observation notes based on our curriculum. We review this information with you twice a year at our Parent Teacher conferences. Of course, directors and teachers are always available to speak with you at any time.
What is the average adult to child ratio at most Lightbridge Academy locations?
Each Lightbridge Academy center meets or exceeds state regulations regarding adult to child ratios. You can rest assured that your child will receive an abundance of attention from trained and caring early childhood professionals.
