I’m Alison Friedman, Managing Owner, and alongside my husband Joe, we’ve had the incredible honor of bringing the first two Lightbridge Academy schools to Charlotte, NC. Our Huntersville location opened in January 2023, followed by Steele Creek in October 2024.

Coming from the packaging industry, we knew we wanted to do something more—something meaningful for families in our own community. Lightbridge Academy’s core values of care, excellence, happiness, and integrity align perfectly with who we are both personally and professionally.

As working parents ourselves, we understand the daily juggle. Hi, I’m Amelia Fancher, Center Director!
I’m thrilled to be part of the Steele Creek administrative team. I began my Lightbridge journey in 2024 as an infant teacher at our Huntersville location, and I’m so excited to now support families from the front office.

I have worked in early childhood education since 2019. I hold a bachelor’s degree in religion, am a certified Lead Teacher, and recently completed my certification in Early Childhood Education Administration. Supporting children, families, and staff is truly my passion, and I’m grateful to continue that work here at Steele Creek.

In my role, I oversee classroom operations, curriculum implementation, and staff development—ensuring a high‑quality environment for both educators and families. I’m committed to fostering excellence in every classroom and supporting our team so they can do their best work each day.

Hi, I’m Yashema Spencer, Administrative Assistant!
I previously worked at our Huntersville location for two years as a Lead Toddler Teacher before being promoted to my current role at Lightbridge Academy Steele Creek. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to continue growing with this incredible organization. Supporting children, families, and staff brings me so much joy, and I look forward to contributing to such a supportive and inspiring community.
