We take every opportunity to extend classroom learning into the home, it’s all part of keeping parents and children connected. To reinforce what your child is learning in the classroom while sharing in the fun at home, click on the links below!

Basic American Sign Language can begin with infants to ease pre-verbal frustration by learning signs for words like “more” and “eat.” As your child becomes older, more advanced sign language is incorporated into the program.

Our Reading Readiness Program is designed to give each child the opportunity to learn skills that are key building blocks to becoming a strong reader. Creating a partnership between school and home is an easy way to ensure the continued success of your child! Here is a resource you can reference to ensure you’re seeing signs of Reading Readiness at home!

Whether it is to ease transitions between activities or as a learning tool, music is an integral part of the day at Lightbridge Academy. Our Singing Sprouts program creates a rich and dynamic learning environment offering many possible routes for children to explore and learn as they grow in awareness and curiosity about music. Have fun with music in your own home: sing, be silly, make instruments and play! Here is a great resource further explaining the benefits of bringing music into the home and it has some great examples, too!

Looking for a great recipe you can rely on when you’re crunched for time? How about a sure-fire kid pleaser that’s healthy too? If you find yourself making the same dishes over and over again and are ready for something new, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve created the Lightbridge Recipe Exchange that has all of our favorite Lightbridge family-tested recipes, yum! Print them out, and if you have a favorite recipe you’d like to share, please e-mail marketing@lightbridgeacademy.com so that it can be added!
