Early Learning Center Programs
Every Interaction is an
Opportunity to Learn
At our early learning centers, every moment of childhood is an opportunity to learn. We’ve drawn inspiration from the greatest minds in early childhood education – like Fredrich Fröbel, Howard Gardner, Loris Malaguzzi, Maria Montessori, and Jean Piaget — to develop our innovative Seedlings Early Childhood Education Curriculum. Our approach is proven to give children the best possible start – in fact, Lightbridge Academy Pre-K students tested 97% proficient in Kindergarten readiness skills!*

*Utilizing the Vine Assessment, teachers actively observed and assessed children in the areas of Mathematics, Science, Literacy Knowledge & Skills, Language & Communication, Social/Emotional, Perception, Motor & Physical, Creative & Cultural Arts, and overall Approaches to Learning. The Vine is a developmentally appropriate early childhood assessment that aligns with the Common Core Standards to ensure children’s success in their future elementary years. Peer-reviewed by members of Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley, Vine’s approach is both observational and formative, allowing for Lightbridge Academy teachers to observe children over the course of an entire school year. This assessment provided the opportunity to create individualized lessons for students, helping them achieve both academic and life skills needed to become lifelong learners, the leaders of tomorrow and successful Kindergarteners.
Our Early Childhood Education Curriculum
Howard Gardner.
Aligning with the thinking of Maria Montessori, we focus on the development of the whole child.
As Loris Malaguzzi recommended, child observations are respected and used to aid in planning for child-led exploration.
In agreement with the philosophy of Fredrich Fröbel, we acknowledge the importance of play in a child’s growth.
Lightbridge Academy’s early learning centers bring these philosophies together in a curriculum that embraces the whole child in a multitude of ways. By seeing every moment as another opportunity to learn, all developmental areas are met and the potential in every child is unlocked.
A Multi-Sensory Approach to Learning
Our Seedlings curriculum meets the standard of accreditation for the Association for Early Learning Leaders and National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs.
This curriculum focuses on all areas of growth. By seeing the letters, signing the words and hearing the sounds, children learn through a multi-sensory approach.
- Science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math (STREAM) concepts are taught at an early age, encouraging analytical thought, reasoning skills, and critical thinking while also sparking creativity.
- Reading and writing readiness features Learning Without Tears®, with hands-on lessons that develop motor skills and prepare children to read and write.
- Singing Sprouts explores music through singing, movement, instruments, and a variety of cultures and styles, as well as rhythms and patterns.
- Spanish Sprouts introduces a secondary language to children, helping them develop a bilingual vocabulary they can use for counting, colors, reading and everyday communication.
- Signing Sprouts fosters communication and language development. American Sign Language is used throughout all programs and age groups.
- Yoga and mindfulness teach our children how to use their breathing and bodies to relieve their stress, calm their minds, and relax their nervous system. Accompanied by music, simple games, and at-home activities, this program helps children release negative emotions while gaining valuable independence and coping skills.
