We are currently enrolling for our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten programs and look forward to meeting you and your precious little one!

A Message From Us
Thank you for investigating Lightbridge Academy of Westfield! Our child care center is accepting enrollments. We have been open now since the beginning of 2015. The building is beautiful! We offer a full day program for children 6 weeks through Kindergarten. We employ state-of-the-art technologies such as biometric finger scanning entry, white board technology, Lightbridge Journey e-communication medium, iPad tables for the children to use as well as ParentView® Internet Monitoring.
Liz Ackland is our Director. She has been working in the education field for over 10 years and has obtained her Masters degree in Psychology from The College of New Rochelle. Liz is a mom herself and an advocate for education. She seeks to empower her students and teachers to reach their full potential through her example. She also believes that strong relationships are an essential foundation for optimal learning and looks forward to work closely with all of our families. She will be sure to make herself available everyday for any questions or concerns.
Rebecca Alper, is our Assistant Director. She has been working in child care for over 15 years. She started as an Assistant Teacher and worked her way up. She has worked in six other child care centers over the span of those 15 years. When Rebecca is not working she likes to bake and cook. She is a new local resident.
Olive is our administrative assistant. She believes that education can happen in any setting, and every interaction with a child is an opportunity for learning. She has taught in 2 childcare centers, a children’s performing arts center, and 2 separate museums. In her free time, she volunteers for a nonprofit that provides free dance classes to children.
Sue Romano, the center’s owner, is also a mom who worked while her son was in a child care facility. This first hand knowledge caused her to seek out a facility which correlated with her values. Lightbridge Academy exemplifies those core values and we are happy to bring them to the Westfield area. Sue is onsite to open the building just about every day. Our doors are open. We have been at Westfield street fairs, around town, and posting our schedules on our Facebook page. Please come take a tour of our building and feel free to ask us about our facility, our curriculum, our staff or just say hello. We love being a part of this great community!

Can I enroll my child in Lightbridge Academy at any time?
Yes. Enrollment at all Lightbridge Academy locations is ongoing as long as space is available.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of days per week my child can attend Lightbridge Academy?
All Lightbridge Academy locations are open Monday through Friday. Most programs are available from 2 to 5 days per week. Back-up care is available on a daily and space available basis.
