Check out these fun school lunch ideas to get inspiration for your child’s lunchbox:

  • Sandwich Kebabs. The sandwich is a classic meal with fans of all ages, but it is still easy for children to get bored with the same old sandwich in their lunchbox. You can spice up this lunchtime favorite and give it a new style by putting it on a stick! Sandwich kebabs are fun to eat, and make it easy to include plenty of nutrient-filled vegetables. Find a child-friendly skewer and place small cuts of whole wheat bread, meat, and fresh vegetables to create a delicious sandwich kebab.
  • Personalized Flatbread Pizza. What child doesn’t love pizza? This is a beloved dish for all members of the family, but it may not be the healthiest selection. Luckily, you can let your child to enjoy this tasty food with a healthy alternative-the personalized flatbread pizza. Use a mini flatbread as the foundation or crust. Top this with pesto sauce that was previously prepared, tomato slices, shredded parmesan cheese, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Place your pizza in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes. You can also try different sauces, cheese, and other toppings to keep things interesting.
  • Not Quite Sushi. This is another fun take on the classic sandwich. Start with two slices of whole wheat bread. Next, choose your fillings, such as peanut butter and apples, cream cheese and vegetables, or another creamy and crunchy combination. Spread the creamy ingredient on each piece and place the crunchy ingredient on top. Roll each piece of bread to create a “sushi” roll and then cut it into a few smaller pieces!
