Happy 2016!

And just like that it’s a new year! A new year brings…well…new things! And if you’re a mom with little ones you are always evaluating their behavior and your own. This year, why don’t you make a conscious effort to believe in yourself and the good decisions you make.

You are a good parent. Even though you may not always feel like a good parent or act like one, especially at the end of a long work day—you are. It’s not easy balancing work, kids and life. We all need improvement in some areas, but as long as we are willing to grow, we can have a great impact and success on our child’s life.

Did you know your thoughts have a lot to do with your behavior? Why not take the time this year to change them by focusing on the positive. Little changes make the biggest differences. Instead of constantly judging yourself, try believing in yourself. Positive affirmations can help you greatly in the way you live and view your life. Positive thoughts influence your attitudes and your attitudes are known to affect your behavior. Why not try saying some of the positive affirmations out loud on a daily basis such as:

“I am making the right choices for my family.”
“I am grateful for my life as a parent.”
“I love my kids which means I am doing what’s best for them.”

These affirmations are just one little way that can help give you the confidence and understanding that will help you to be a great parent. Make 2016 the best year yet in your life and your child’s life! Think happy, be happy.
