Welcome! Congratulations on taking your first step in securing a quality educational program for your child. We are excited to offer personalized tours at Lightbridge Academy in Matawan conveniently located near Aberdeen, Cliffwood, Keyport, Old Bridge, and more! My name is Kayla, and I am the Center Director of our Matawan location! As an educator, I am thrilled to be a part of the Lightbridge Academy Circle of Care embracing not only your child, but your family, community, our staff and our owners in a nurturing and supportive environment. I originally started as the Blue Horse Pre-School lead teacher at our Lawrenceville location and worked my way up to the Center Director of Matawan! I have over a decade of childcare experience. I have my bachelor’s in psychology and a Masters in Human Behavior Psychology with a content area of Children’s Development! In my spare time you can find me traveling, hiking, or spending time reading or with my dog Paisley! Every moment is a learning moment at Lightbridge Academy, and it shows! Our Seedlings curriculum focuses on the development of the whole child and is designed to help infants, toddlers and preschool children meet key developmental milestones. We strive to meet the needs of our working families as well as our stay-at-home moms/dads who are looking for a program that will offer early education and socialization for their children on a part time basis. To do so, we offer our families a flexibility in programming, ranging from 2, 3 or 5 days per week for children ages 6 weeks through Preschool/Pre-K. We also offer state-of-the-art technologies such as white board technology, Parentview internet monitoring, and digital daily communication via Lightbridge Journey. Lightbridge Journey helps us to bridge the gap between your work and your child’s experiences while in our care, enabling us to send you pictures, videos and notes throughout the day.
