Giving Back to Those Within Our Circle of Care

Established in 2001, the Lightbridge Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to supporting and adding value to the communities our child care centers serve throughout Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Teaching Children to be Caring and Selfless

Every Lightbridge Academy center is actively involved in fundraising efforts. Both our team members and the children volunteer to participate in a variety of events that benefit a group or a cause. Whether bringing canned goods to support the local food pantry, making snacks to sell at the bake sale or rolling up their sleeves at the Parent Car Wash, children learn the value of doing something nice to help someone in need.

More than $700,000 donated to children and families

Since the inception of the Lightbridge Foundation, we’ve been able to provide those within our Circle of Care with valuable gifts and contributions, such as:

  • $500 scholarships earmarked for high school seniors who desire to pursue a college education. It is our hope that they will continue to “pay it forward” by serving as an inspiration and be a future leader in education.
  • Direct grants to assist parents and families with expenses for a wide range of challenges including treatment of pediatric illnesses, assistance with recovering after a natural disaster and necessary therapy.
  • Donations to local charities such as Hometown Heroes, Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Spread the Joy, local food banks, homeless shelters and many other important causes.
  • Volunteering at special projects in our communities.

  • Corporate Matching Deductions: Ask your HR department for information on charitable giving sponsored in your workplace. In many cases, your employer will match your gift up to 100%, increasing your charitable impact.
  • Memorial and Bequests: We appreciate the generosity of individuals who have remembered us through their estate and asked that memorial donations be directed to our organization. We can assist in planning by providing any necessary paperwork.
