Wishing you a happy Kwanza
Kwanzaa is a week long celebration of African American culture and Heritage. For kids, it's a time to learn about history through fun activities like lighting candles, enjoying a feast, and exchanging gifts, with an emphasis on the seven principles of Kwanzaa, which are concepts like unity, self-determination, and creativity.

Quick Marinara Sauce (5-10 minutes)This simple tomato sauce requires minimal simmering time when using crushed tomatoes.-
- Ingredients:

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried basil (or a handful of fresh)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Ingredients:
- Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over low heat for about 1 minute.
- Add the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes and dried basil. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss with your favorite cooked pasta.

Can I enroll my child in Lightbridge Academy at any time?
Yes. Enrollment at all Lightbridge Academy locations is ongoing as long as space is available.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of days per week my child can attend Lightbridge Academy?
All Lightbridge Academy locations are open Monday through Friday. Most programs are available from 2 to 5 days per week. Back-up care is available on a daily and space available basis.
