A Message From Us

My name is Jessica Crimmins and I am the Center Director of our Iselin location. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and took additional classes in Early Childhood. I have been a part of Lightbridge Academy since 2019 and over 10 years of experience in the childcare industry! I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy going to concerts! I am a dog mommy to my two girls Stella and Lilly. Our Assistant Director, Taylor Foster began her career with Lightbridge in 2019 in our Fort Lee location and has been a valued member of the team in each center she has worked in. She enjoys spending time with her family and is always going above and beyond for them! While not with family she enjoys traveling and going to the beach! We know that leaving your children in our capable hands takes a big leap of trust, and we thank you for allowing us to have that honor.

Every moment is a learning moment at Lightbridge Academy and it shows! Our Seedlings curriculum focuses on the whole child and is designed to help infants, toddlers and preschool children meet key developmental milestones. We strive to meet the needs of our working families as well as our stay-at-home moms/dads who are looking for a program that will offer early education and socialization for their children on a part time basis. In order to do so, we offer our families a flexibility in programming, ranging from 2, 3 or 5 days per week for children ages 6 weeks through Preschool/Pre-K. We look forward to meeting you and having you join our family!

Dia De Los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is special celebration honoring family members and friends who have passed away. It's a colorful tradition that helps families remember and feel close to those they love, even though they aren't here anymore. Some activities for kids include making ofrendas, or memory tables, decorated with marigold flowers, candles, and pictures. Families add favorite food, toys, or items that remind them of the person they're honoring.

Daylights Savings Time is when we change our clocks a little bit each year to make the most of daylight. In the Spring, we 'spring forward' by setting our clocks one hour ahead, which means it stays light outside longer in the evening. In the Fall, we 'fall back' by setting our clocks one hour back. This helps us have more lights in the morning when we start our day but gets darker earlier in the evening.

Join us today in dressing like scarecrows!

"Scarecrows are friendly helpers in the garden! They look like happy dolls or statues dressed in fun with big hats and smiling faces. Farmers put scarecrows in their field to watch over plants and keep them safe, kind of like garden protectors. They are made of soft straw, old shirts, and hats, so they look cozy and welcoming. When children see scarecrows, they can imagine them as a friendly garden buddies keeping an eye on the plants and saying hello to birds flying bye."

Can I enroll my child in Lightbridge Academy at any time?

Yes. Enrollment at all Lightbridge Academy locations is ongoing as long as space is available.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of days per week my child can attend Lightbridge Academy?

All Lightbridge Academy locations are open Monday through Friday. Most programs are available from 2 to 5 days per week. Back-up care is available on a daily and space available basis.

How will I be informed about my child's progress at Lightbridge Academy?
Effective communication happens on an ongoing and daily basis through our parent eCommunication app. You will receive ongoing and daily reports detailing important classroom announcements, reminders, photos, and videos so you won’t miss a thing! It is also a great tool for doctor visits helping to keep track of important information such as what your child ate, how they slept and even potty details. In addition, teachers will track your child’s development by taking observation notes based on our curriculum. We review this information with you twice a year at our Parent Teacher conferences. Of course, directors and teachers are always available to speak with you at any time.
What is the average adult to child ratio at most Lightbridge Academy locations?
Each Lightbridge Academy center meets or exceeds state regulations regarding adult to child ratios. You can rest assured that your child will receive an abundance of attention from trained and caring early childhood professionals.
