My name is Walkiria Preston and I am the Center Director. I’m so excited to begin this journey at our brand-new center and meet every one of you! I have a master’s degree in early childhood education and have worked in the field of early childhood for over 15 years. I have two children, Nico and Emma, and in our spare time we love to explore nature and spend family time together.

Our Assistant Director is Melanie Kaikis. She has a bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education from the University of Akron. She has worked in the childcare industry for 9 years, and she truly loves working with families and helping them through this phase of raising their children. She has two young boys and she knows how important it is to have a center that provides the best possible care, along with a quality early childhood education.

The owners of our center are Mia Fidei, Cara Clayton and Ted Yannotti, a father-daughters team. Cara and Mia have both business and education backgrounds. They loved the idea of owning a family business that lets them interact with the children every day. When choosing Lightbridge Academy, our owners, were most impressed with our circle of care philosophy and how it is implemented in every school within the Lightbridge Academy family!
