Lightbridge Academy of Glen Allen, VA is now open and enrolling! We invite families from Innsbrook, Short Pump, and other Glen Allen County families to call and schedule a tour to learn about the Lightbridge Promise! As The Solution for Working Families®, we are more than just a daycare, we strive to be an extension of your family. Our state-of-the-art childcare center is currently enrolling infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-k programs!
A Message From Us
Congratulations on taking the first step towards securing a quality educational program for your child! We are conveniently located in the West End of Henrico, near Innsbrook, Short Pump, and adjacent to Twin Hickory. We are excited to be part of the Lightbridge Academy Circle of Care, which embraces not only your child but also your family, our community, our staff, and our owners in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Lightbridge Academy offers an exceptional curriculum while upholding the highest safety protocols and fostering an environment that encourages strong bonds of care and friendship. Our owners, Mandy and Shawn Dhingra, are parents of two children, which helps them understand the challenges faced by working families.
As The Solution for Working Families, Lightbridge Academy is well-equipped to help you balance your life with programs and services designed to support you. Our Seedlings Curriculum focuses on the whole child, covering areas such as writing (Handwriting Without Tears), language and literacy, social and emotional development, STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, art, math), and outdoor learning for collaborative learning and play. Families can also expect to benefit from state-of-the-art technology, including ParentView®️ Internet Monitoring and real-time updates through our e-communication app.

Welcome to Lightbridge Academy Glen Allen! As the Center Director, I look forward to developing young minds, while also inspiring a love of learning through our incredible Seedlings Program! Our Infant-PreK curriculum was created and founded on five educational theorists: Jean Piaget, Howard Gardner, Loris Malaguzzi, Maria Montessori and Frederick Froebel! As we are an innovative educational academy our classrooms will include both center and theme-based learning, while also introducing students to 21st Century technology! It is going to be an amazing and dynamic learning experience here at Lightbridge Academy!

Can I enroll my child in Lightbridge Academy at any time?
Yes. Enrollment at all Lightbridge Academy locations is ongoing as long as space is available.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of days per week my child can attend Lightbridge Academy?
All Lightbridge Academy locations are open Monday through Friday. Most programs are available from 2 to 5 days per week. Back-up care is available on a daily and space available basis.
