As soon as you join the Lightbridge Academy family, our operations team is working hard to provide you with the tools you need to build a thriving business. We’ve always got your back, and the first place you’ll notice our commitment to you is in our world-class franchise training and support. You can count on us to make the process of getting your franchise up and running as seamless as possible.
Comprehensive Franchise Training
You’ll start with a week of virtual training, then you’ll join us for a week of in-person training at our home office in New Jersey and finish up with a week of hands-on training at an operational Lightbridge Academy center. Franchise owners are required to attend franchise training, as well as your center director and assistant director.
If you don’t have a background in early childhood education, don’t worry! During training, you’ll learn all you need to know about operating a Lightbridge Academy center, including executing our proprietary curriculum and developing a Circle of Care culture within your business. We’ll also provide detailed instruction on marketing, operations, and the best way to create our culture and implement our services. By the end of training, you’ll have a deep understanding of everything you need to know to manage your child care franchise on a day-to-day basis.
Your pre-opening preparations will include three weeks of comprehensive franchise training, which we’ve broken down into three distinct tracks:
- Track one: We’ll cover everything you need to know about real estate, including site selection, lease negotiations, and market analysis. While you’re in Track one, you’ll begin developing your proforma.
- Track two: We go in-depth on the launch process. You’ll learn about building brand awareness and staffing, and we will also review your proforma and enrollment goals.
- Track three: To round out your training, we’ll set your business plan and goals, take a deep dive into franchisee leadership, and establish roles and responsibilities.

After You’ve Opened
We won’t let you go it alone once you’ve opened your Lightbridge Academy center. Throughout the life of your franchise, you’ll receive ongoing franchise support from us. We value learning for our franchisees and staff, so you’ll have continued access to our training portal. You’ll also be paired with a dedicated franchise business coach for the duration of your franchise agreement, giving you an invaluable resource as you grow your business.
Alongside your dedicated business coaching, you’ll be connected with other franchise owners in our network – they’ve been where you are, and they’ll be happy to share their advice for overcoming any challenges you might face. Whether it’s part of a Marketing Huddle, Power Hour, Town Hall, or the highlight of the year – The Lightbridge Academy Annual Owners Conference, there are multiple and regular opportunities for franchise owners and center administration to learn from us and one another.
