A Message From Us
Howdy Y’all! My name is Melissa Cornell, and I am the Center Director of the first Lightbridge Academy here in Fort Worth located in Summer Creek. I am a Fort Worth resident and married to a hard-working trucker. I am a mom to five, four boys and one girl, and we are a busy sports family! I began my journey in child care at the age of 16 and have since held every role within a center. My passion and purpose is shaping our future one child at a time, which is why I’ve loved working in early childhood education for so long, and I am so happy to lead our brand new center in Fort Worth, Texas.
At Lightbridge Academy, we strive to make sure families feel like they are “home” when they walk into the school. Our Seedlings curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to nurture the whole child, assisting infants, toddlers, preschool & pre-k children reach their key developmental milestones. I am so excited to be on this Lightbridge journey with you and I look forward to growing and meeting each of you!

Can I enroll my child in Lightbridge Academy at any time?
Yes. Enrollment at all Lightbridge Academy locations is ongoing as long as space is available.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of days per week my child can attend Lightbridge Academy?
All Lightbridge Academy locations are open Monday through Friday. Most programs are available from 2 to 5 days per week. Back-up care is available on a daily and space available basis.
