Liz Ackland is our Director. She has been working in the education field for over 13 years and has obtained her Masters degree in Psychology from The College of New Rochelle. Liz is a mom herself and an advocate for education. She seeks to empower her students and teachers to reach their full potential through her example. She also believes that strong relationships are an essential foundation for optimal learning and looks forward to work closely with all of our families. She will be sure to make herself available every day for any questions or concerns.

Rebecca Alper is our Assistant Director, and she has been working in child care for over 15 years. She started as an Assistant Teacher and worked her way up. She has worked in six other child care centers over the span of those 15 years. When Rebecca is not working, she likes to bake and cook. She is a new local resident.

Tracy Baez is our administrative assistant. She believes that education can happen in any setting, and every interaction with a child is an opportunity for learning. She has been with us for 7 years and has a child of her own.

Sue Romano, the center’s owner, is also a mom who worked while her son was in a child care facility. This first-hand knowledge caused her to seek out a facility which correlated with her values. Lightbridge Academy exemplifies those core values, and we are happy to bring them to the Westfield area. Sue is onsite to open the building just about every day. Our doors are open. We have been at Westfield street fairs, around town, and posting our schedules on our Facebook page.
