Welcome to our Apex, NC educational child care center

There’s something special about fall at Lightbridge Academy Apex—busy classrooms, new friendships, lots of learning and plenty of reasons to bring our community together!

Located in the Sweetwater community off Hwy 64, we provide infant care, toddler programs, preschool and Pre-K for families throughout Apex, West Cary, New Hill and surrounding communities. Whether you’re searching for daycare for your baby, a preschool where your child can learn and grow, or a Pre-K program focused on kindergarten readiness, we’d love to get to know your family.

And this fall, come get to know us outside the classroom! Join us for our Trunk or Treat on October 16 from 6:00–8:00 PM. Meet our team, enjoy some family fun and see what makes our Lightbridge community feel like home.

A message from us

When we opened Lightbridge Academy Apex in 2021, we wanted to build more than a daycare. We wanted to create a school where children are known, families feel connected, and teachers are proud to grow their careers.

Five years later, we’ve had the joy of watching babies take their first steps, toddlers find their words, preschoolers discover what they’re capable of, and Pre-K children leave us ready and confident for kindergarten. We’ve watched families grow, siblings come through our doors, and teachers become mentors and leaders.

As parents and educators, quality early childhood education will always be at the heart of what we do. We believe in growing the whole child—building curiosity, confidence, independence, friendships and a genuine love of learning.

And we believe the teachers doing that important work deserve to grow, too. We invest in their training, celebrate their accomplishments and create opportunities for them to build meaningful careers in early childhood education.

We’re incredibly proud of the childcare community that has grown here in Apex, and we’d love for your family to become part of it.

Meet Our Regional Manager, Jacquie Evans!

Hi! I’m Jacquie, Regional Manager for Lightbridge Academy Apex and Holly Springs. With more than 18 years in Early Childhood Education, I have a true passion for creating exceptional experiences for children and families—and for challenging our leadership teams to keep learning, growing, and raising the bar every day.

I believe some of the most important work we do begins with relationships. When families feel known, supported, and connected to their child’s school, we create an even stronger environment for children to learn, grow, and take those BIG Steps.

Outside of Lightbridge, I’m a mom to two active boys who keep my scheduling brain and coaching skills sharp no matter which sideline I’m on!

I look forward to getting to know your family and supporting you from your first tour and enrollment through all the milestones and BIG Steps ahead.

Meet Our Center Director, Alexandria “Alex” Davis!

Hi! I’m Alex, and I’m proud to serve as the Center Director at Lightbridge Academy Apex. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Human Development & Family Science. I began working in preschools right after college and quickly discovered my passion for Early Childhood Education.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is watching children experience those BIG Steps—the excitement of learning something new, gaining independence, building confidence, and discovering more about the world around them. It’s an honor to support our families throughout their preschool journey and to love and encourage their little ones along the way.

Outside of Lightbridge, you’ll usually find me reading, painting, exploring somewhere new, spending time with my big family, or cheering at a sporting event—Go Heels!

I look forward to getting to know your family, celebrating your child’s milestones, and being part of all the learning, laughter, and BIG Steps ahead!
